Nuheat is one of the original companies to bring electric warm floors to the market. One of the most recognized and respected names, Nuheat has recently added more products to compliment the original gray fabric mats the building industry has used for decades. A 25 year warranty will provide years of worry free use.

The simplest way to get your floor warm is to order a standard sized or custom sized mat that will cover the area to be warmed. The mat is adhered to the existing substrate with thinset, then the tile or stone is laid over that with a thin set application. The entire process will increase the floor height by 1/8” or so, making it perfect for projects where floor height may need to be maintained.

An alternative to the mats is the cable. Sized for various square footages, the cable is attached to the floor using a track that will evenly space the cable for comfort. The cable wires plug into the thermostat, then runs in a serpentine pattern until the end. A benefit of the cable is that it can be used inside showers.

For laminate or engineered wood floor applications, the cable or mat is covered with thin set or a self leveling compound, then the flooring placed over that.

Both systems can be run by a variety of thermostat controls for just about any level of automation desired.
